Lead SDET / Tester Engineer supporting our client TCS / Walgreens .

Requisition Overview

• Role Title: Lead SDET / Tester Engineer
• Location: Deerfield, IL (200 Wilmot Road)
• Work Model: 100% Onsite - 5 days/week at Walgreens Corporate HQ (Non-negotiable)

Key Technical & Role Requirements

1. Experience Level: 7 to 10+ years in Software Quality Engineering / SDET roles.
2. 60% API Automation & Backend Validation (Primary Focus):
   • Hands-on framework development in Java, REST Assured, Cucumber, and TestNG/JUnit .
   • Experience with Postman and backend database validation ( SQL & MongoDB ).
   • Log analysis & observability tools ( Kubernetes, Kibana, Dynatrace ).
3. 40% UI & Mobile Testing:
   • Web automation using Playwright or Selenium (Java) .
   • Functional & automated testing on native mobile ( iOS / Android ).
4. Communication & Live Coding: Exceptional communication skills are mandatory. Candidates must pass a live technical coding interview with the client.

Interview & Vetting Process

1. Internal Randstad & TCS SME Screening: Technical screen focused on live coding and framework architecture.
2. Client Interview: Final technical round with Walgreens, including a live coding session.
